Texas Business Mission to Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Suzhou

Texas Economic Development (TxED) invites you to participate in TxED’s Business Mission to China, from May 23 – June 1, 2002. The Texas delegation will visit the cities of Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Suzhou.

This event will provide Texas businesses the opportunity to expand their markets to China, the most populous country in the world, and explore business relationships with commercial partners in these fast-growing cities. In addition, it will demonstrate Texas’ commitment to integrate into the global economy, especially the potential market in China, and promote Texas as a world-class high-tech state.

Become a member of the Texas Delegation! Your participation in the Texas Mission to China 2002 will include:

Ø Market briefing about your industry from TxED Trade Advisor, and American and Chinese leaders in China.

Ø Attendance at the 5^th Annual International High-Tech Industries Week and Science-Tech Expo in Beijing.

Ø Visits to: Beijing, the capital of China; the western city of Xian; Shanghai, the largest commercial and financial center in China; and Suzhou, an industrial city near Shanghai with dramatic development.

Ø Meetings with Chinese government officials and industrial leaders.

Ø One-on-one meetings with Chinese businessmen and companies who are interested in doing business with Texas firms.
