The Houston Fire Department today presented the 100 Club with needs assessment for the families of the four "Fallen Firefighters" who were tragically killed in the line of duty on May 31, 2013.
The 100 Club has made an exception to their policy of providing up to $20,000 for funeral expenses for each of the Heroes and will fully fund the request. The Club met with Houston Fire Chief Terry Garrison and his Command Staff when the needs assessment was presented.
The families of the fallen should receive the funds, once the logistics of who checks need to be made out to have been determined for each family. This financial aid is expected meet the familiesí» financial obligations for the next twelve months.
Along with the recent financial benefit extended for higher education to the Dowling children and this upcoming disbursement, the 100 Club of Houston will continue to work together with the leadership of the Houston Fire Department to assist the families of the fallen and injured Heroes.
