Neeta Sane's high-profile fundraiser boosts enthusiasm of local DemocratsNeeta Sane, the Democratic candidate for Fort Bend County Treasurer in the November general election, had a very successful fundraiser party thrown for her last night at Kingsway clubhouse in Stafford. The fundraiser was hosted by Stafford Mayor Leonard Scarcella, Councilman Ken Matthew, and SDEC Don Bankston. It was attended by a large group of supporters with diverse ethnic backgrounds. Elected officials and ex-elected officials present included Former councilman Gordon Quan, Former Congressman Nick Lampson, Commissioner Grady Prestage, JP Joel Clouser, Constable Ruben Davis, Lamar ISD Trustee Jessi Torres, Fort Bend Democratic Party Chair Elaine Bishop and previous Fort Bend Democratic Party Chairs. Local candidates were also present. People enjoyed the food, camaraderie and very invigorating speeches. Everyone spoke very highly of Neeta's enthusiasm, hard work and passion to serve the people of Fort Bend and what she will accomplish as County Treasurer.
Nick Lampson, as it turns out, is inspired by Neeta and her natural exuberance and enthusiasm that permeates every molecule of her existence. He compared her natural fervor and passion to his own and admitted he paled in contrast. He also held a note card reading off her various talents and skills, which are huge: she owns her own software development company, developing and marketing software that deals with security and financial systems. Nick said that she is highly qualified for the office she is seeking.
